Beginner Lesson Bike Fit
When seated, both feet should rest flat on the ground with a slight knee bend.
Once ready to pedal, raise the seat so tiptoes still touch the ground.
Frame size: Rider should comfortably stand over the bike with 1–2″ clearance above the top tube.
Handlebar reach: Arms slightly bent when holding handlebars—never overstretched or cramped.
Control check: Brakes should be easy to squeeze; handlebars turn without strain.
Wheel size: Match age/height (e.g., 16″ ages 4–6, 20″ ages 6–8, 24″ older kids). Check your bike brand’s sizing chart for details.
Most students learn in 2 to 3 lessons, but every rider is different. Progress depends on factors like motivation, comfort with risk, and natural athleticism. We tailor each session to the student’s pace to build confidence and skills step by step.
We believe everyone should have the chance to experience the joy of riding a bike. If cost is a concern, please reach out — we’ll work with you to provide a discount or assistance so learning to ride is accessible to all.
